This poem is about the absolute futily of human life.In it ,I have touched upon how we as human beings have only saddened our great Creator.I have indicated at my own spiritual journey.
The leaf one day will fall, The veins will rot away, In the consuming earth, vanishes forever, Fallen , that it is , from the tree of life.
See how our life is! we are sinners , we defy his commandements, Tis dark and dreary, but we are happy and gay, He calls out to us but we lose our way.
Lo, I hear my master's call, so faint , the darkness of sin surrounds me , and consumes me......
But for a moment , I get a glimpse of thy divine light, So brilliant, so holy , That which emancipates me from worldly bondage it makes my heart flutter in joy, It soars above the Oceans , Through vales and hills winding through the huge skies
But the darkness envelopes me once more , And lost I am , Among tender lambs , who have lost thee, The erring face of humanity.....
What stayed with you?
A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.
