The Balcony Girl (This article has been read 121 times) Posted by bullet on May 14, 2003 (Wednesday) "When that whole mad season comes around."- (Matchbox 20 excerpt.) Poem by- Hemant (bullet) This winter day has brought some snow in her life, Cold winds are blowing, dark clouds are alive, She is standing alone on the balcony, She is staring at the last leaf on the tree, She is thinking of the way things were before, Too bad, she cannot turn back time anymore... But she remembers the wary candles shimmering, In the cold, wintry night, when her skin was glowing, Floating on her feet, her eyes enlightened, She came up close to his invented emotions... Emotions invented, his words invented, his lies intended, he just pretended... Now, she is standing alone on the balcony, She is staring at the last leaf on the tree, The last leaf, knocked out by the icy cold wind, Madly swirves, madly turns, madly spins, Her stare becomes the wild gaze of a deer, In the corner of her eye, she feels a tear.

What stayed with you?

A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.
