Truimph of the heart A poem representing the true win of heart over mind The sun hid behind yet another day, shielded by the power of the dense clouds Light around was sparse and dull and the mood in air was mellow and lull I tried my best to pick myself up and sucked the very last drop of my coffee cup But my mood waxed and waned in the hope of a revolution A revolution that would churn the best in me A revolution that will break the shackles But where is it going to come from that was the question raising in me A question whose answers lie very much within my jittery mind I tried converting every fear into action and waited to strike gold I left no unturned stone but my quest remained unquenched. Alas my steps turned slower and will to turn back more as my destination became hazy In a weak moment or so I decided I had enough and turned back defeated in my mind But my heart would'nt agree the persistence of the voice within was compelling I turned back and took one more step just for the heck to step right into a gold mine Ecstasy knew no bounds and passion prevailed over logic

What stayed with you?

A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.
