A poem inspired by Glorious Kargill

Chalo chalo sub khush ho jao yaar, don't you know we are winnnin' the war. Kill the rogues, apni jeet mein unki hai haar.

The headlines scream! we are killing & having fun, Those who survived are on the run. We are winning the game, how good it seems, Just goes to show that we are one.

But who is this "we" that they are talking about We are just fighting ourselves, killing our brothers After all, how much difference can be made in 50 years to a culture which is thousands of years old.

We may be right, we may be wrong, I really don't know while I am writing this song. I bet that most of the guys don't have a clue, But the masses are raising this hue.

But who gonna tell these gun of a sons, Just because you are living there, doesn't mean you are the right ones. And this I believe is the root of this strife, So if you wanna lead a peaceful life, Start to question the basic facts, And don't buy a shoe when you need a hat.

My uncle tells me, you don't know these pakistanis, beware & I'm sure that's what the kids are learning there.

So this circle of hate still continues, Which one day we all are gonna rue. Why should I hate someone whom I have never even met, Who has probably done nothing worse than breaking a tea-set. The guys we should hate, are the ones who fuel this fire, & they should really bear the brunt of your ire. Half of the Indians have nothing to do with Kashmir, probably more So why are they so damn concerned about it ,these sores. That's not the point I know, but it frustrates me to see, How two strangers can be enemies. Looks like we all are becoming zombies

" HATE THY NEIGHBOR"...

What stayed with you?

A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.
