It's in fashion now to be cool .It is the IN thing now.But do we ever wonder what's being cool all about. "Buddy,You got a 'F' in mechanics!" "Doesn't matter,I'm cool" ************************************************** "Son!why don't you get your brakes repaired?It may lead you into serious trouble." "Don't worry dad ,I,m cool" ************************************************** "I'm cool" "I'm cool" "I'm cool"
What does being cool mean? For sure we are not talking about the thermodynamic state of the subject. It's the latest IN thing . The new divide between generations. As newer generation is cool while older one is not. A few years back Gen X used to be vibrant, dynamic, modernist, ......which can now all be summarised under one heading COOL.
But do we ever wonder is being cool really cool? Or is mere a escapist way of not doing your job and not feeling guilty about it.

Does not matter ,all my words fall on the deaf ears. Perhaps nothing matters.
But the thing that perturbs me a lot is instead of facing the reality why are we trying to escape it and giving pretty excuses about it. One of my friends who is not a chain smoker yet but is slowly filling gaps in the links of scattered fags to rise up to that status. Upon being asked,why does he smoke,quoted Ayn Rand in a chivalrous mannner " I like the sight of fire between my fingers. The greatest force of nature, which has destroyed civilizations, tamed beween fingers of man kind. No one knows how many great thoughts have risen in the human mind and how many friendships have begun just over a puff of smoke"
Or in simple words isn't it an escapist way to cope with stress.
Or being Cool an escapist way to escape the reality.
