Governance or remote control
Telephones shutdown for 2 hrs, deserted roads, closed shops, scared people, seems like a war like situation. you are wrong !
Its just news of the arrest of BALTHACKREY. I don't want to comment on the person but on the attitude of our government towards this. Its just shows how much the government is under pressure. Fearing the arrest, the government shut all communication systems which would have costed government atleast a few crores. Is this strenthening of economy ?
India, the land where moral values prevails. We in ourselves are in perfect irony. We are the largest democracy & 40% state goverments are running conditional supports. Not to mention about our central goverment . Why such situations? it is nothing but hijacking of the whole democracy.
When somebody says, he will support the goverment, does he really mean support? I think it is extortion. Everyone supporting the goverment wants that cases against him should be cancelled, more portfolios & above all a remote control. People don't settle on this but expect the goverment to work properly. Its like cutting legs & asking the person to swim .
Voting for goverment in the house is a just a push button away but implementation of that is important. Whenever a C M has to take a decision, he has to discuss with atleast five supporting parties. By the time the decision is taken, the purpose of it is lost. Joint goverment is the key, they say, do they really mean it ?
Whenever a party comes to power, cases against them are closed & those of the opposition are opened. It has become a section in our constitution (?).
It is expected from the goverment to improve the condition of the state, not to spend money on court matters. A person like our PM, who is one of the most respected politician in the world has to do ropewalk. It is his capability to handle people which has stabilised the nation.
What should we do? can we still call ourselves a democracy? I think competition is key to the problem. Let the states work for their funds. Make a minimum compulsary growth rate & lots of such things. I am not an expert but neither a blind. I can see the downfall of our motherland.
So, it is upto us to stear the ship towards the shore. If everyone of us can give 5% to our country, it is more than enough. It will just make our country a better place to live in.
What stayed with you?
A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.
