i entirely agree with your observation that it is very cryptic. i tend to write images (yup! sometimes warped) and those are entirely a personal interpretation. 10 people could read it 10 ways.
sine waves are the ebb and flow, rise and fall, of a heart that trips over itself, many cycles of which can rob you of any romanticism (the imagery is questionable). while the creative imagination ceases to be as powerfully romantic, one is left with certain strong memories that can pretty much alter one's present for a split second. this is akin to the memory of the nose: give me a bread sandwich coated with jam and click! just like that i'm back at break-time in school. the memory of the nose is far more detailed and powerful than, (though not as extensive as) that of the eye
just think of meditation or any strong spiritual connection, and you will know what i mean by the memory of fingertips. the return of those fingertips is simply the cessation of such experiences/abiilities
the feeling that there is too much of you, around yourself, and little else, is the crowded unity. and the accompanying plentifulness of nothing (!) is the scarcity that is rife
one sits back and tries to piece together a story for oneself, and finds it about as elegant as a sentence with a hyphen between every two words. The hyphens also a signify a craving to link every two events that have happened in one's life. while the truth might be, we would make more sense of things if we admit the spaces (gaps) exist
i just hope i haven't been doubly cryptic in explaining this. just a bad habit.
thanks

What stayed with you?
A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.
