A short poem on the recent devestation

New York bleeds ... Twin towers of pride in smithereens Beneath lies departed in bliss In thousands oblivious of the terror unleashed in its wake The sorrow of their family The heroism of their countrymen.

A war has just commenced Holy? Unlikely to end in the immediate future Eleventh Spetember 8.50 a.m. EST. A defining moment in world history who'll win? who'll lose? Victims. Perpetrators. Time will unfold a greater tragedy? carnage orders of magnitude higher?

World war III preparations are afoot to outdo adversaries just a bunch of fanatics will they succeed in their evil design? Will our world suffer a similar fate as tragic as twin towers?

Humans on list of endangered species Doomsday knocks at our doors Strive one last time, we must substitute love where there is hate eliminate the cause at minimal cost Herculean task yet try we must try try again.

What stayed with you?

A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.
