I agree with Rippanahito as far as the classification of my purportedly juvenile outpourings as poetry is concerned. Then again, that was a decision of the editors. I would have been equally happy if the eds had created a new category called PoppyCock ( or whereever else that true Lovers of Poetry would deign to classify this piece) and dumped it there.

The remaining criticism is, if I might say, ironical. I think the entire point (if there was any) of the piece was that "pretend writers" like yours truly should give a break to both pen and paper - and let the honored vocation of good writing rest with the true (or is it blue?) blooded writers.

I guess I got carried away. The point still remains - "Does it matter?". Let's all enjoy what the others are writing without holding back the criticism.

What stayed with you?

A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.
