What is hell and heaven...? How can one determine what is in store for him/her...?
Kids often ask questions you’re bound to answer, but have no idea how to. Why is the sky blue? Why did mommy daddy get married? Why cant we walk on walls? How did the birds learn to fly? And many unimportant unexplainable phenomenons framed into curious questions.
The best thing to do, is to change the topic, or give the smartest explanation you can think of. However, there is one question which haunts not only children but many teens and adults. So when my little nephew asked the question, it led me into deep thinking. “What is hell and heaven?”How can one determine what is in one’s destiny afterdeath? Is it hell to be determined on not limiting up to the desired amount of good deeds in one’s life or is it just a myth? And there I was, deep in thoughts, wondering as to how subtle down his curiosity and to satisfy the question for myself.
Hell is often related to fire and the devil, hatred and evil. Heaven however is related to Angels and God, love and goodness. People have for centuries mistook Hell and Heaven to be a part of “afterlife” when what they are precisely, in the way of life itself. Every choice you make in life has two sides to it, the good and the bad. God and Devil are a part of you. They are in your heart.
Taking the wrong decisions don’t necessarily bring you to the door of hell, but taking decisions for wrong necessarily do make your life a living “hell”. Being good and loving everyone for their pro’s as well as con’s, gives you back a lot of happiness. Isnt that heaven?
Why do we let so called “destiny” make choices for us, when the most important of choices are in our power? It would’ve actually been simple if by the end of your time here on Earth, someone would sum up your good deeds and the bad, solve it all out, and assign you one of the two doors, and you might end up chatting with the devil or enjoying T3 lines in heaven. But I guess God doesn’t want it too easy on you. Its for you to decide your own fate, its for you to make the crucial decision. Do you want hearts craving for you, or perhaps disgusted by your sight?
So when my nephew came upto me several days later seeking his answer, I made him sit across me and told him, “Every step you take towards wrong and evil, makes you closer to being the Devil and being hated by people for that ” that’s hell, but if you take the path of love and rightness, you would receive all the respect God gets, and that for sure is heaven“.
I was happy at my explanation, but he looked confusingly at me, ”Err“ Whose the devil?”
What stayed with you?
A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.

are you sure that the most important decisons are in your power?? or are your decisions also programmed beforehand by destiny that you are influenced to think in a particular way...this is food for thought. the questions you have come up with are neither insignificant nor unanswerable and are not just a child's curiosity. adults are so fixed in their mindsets built up by years of schooling and prejudices that they lose their original way of looking at things [ Reply to this ]
I dont believe in Destiny, for I believe 'destiny' is just another myth created by the weak man who cant make his decisions for himself... [ Reply to this ]
Here's the thing, if god created man, heaven and hell exist. If man created god, Heaven and hell don't exist! Mindboggler, isn't it? Have fun. [ Reply to this ]
pls take a minute to think. there are babies born with physical deformities in poor households and there are rich households with healthy babies...do u mean to say that the baby made the decision for itself.....thats not wise....
