There is always a special relation between grandparents and their grandchildren, they spend so much time together...... Its not necessary that both understand each others language, but the special bond holds them together.

"In the days of yore, was a gorgeous, gracile girl, with a strange grace and glore.

Then a handsome prince came, married our pretty princess, and their life was never the same.

And after few years, they had a sweet little daughter, efflorescence of joy so shear.

And after another some years, their daughter had a daughter, who added to the cheers!!

Do u know darling something more, who is their grand daughter, the facsimile of our princess of yore.

That is you my sweetie-pie, this is our story, you are the apple of my eyes...........i will tell u more........."

I stared wide eyed, what was grandma saying? i dint reply, i just sighed.

The whole story was nice. it was lovely and so great, but something made me think twice.

My little tiny brain processed more, couldnt think of my sweet little grandma, as a princess from days of yore.

I stared wide eyed, aunts and mom said the same story, i dint reply, i just sighed.

The present slowly became days of yore, i sit with my grand daughter in my lap, and i tell about the days of yore.

I tell about the princess & the prince, their daughter and granddaughter. as from corner of eyes i notice a wince.

I saw my grand daughter staring wide eyed, and i still continue, she doesnt reply, she just sighed........

What stayed with you?

A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.

It's cool. I read it number of times but still few lines goes over my head. I am unable catch them out. Anyways I must say you deserve appreciation. Others two (I Never Thought I'd Feel This Way!! & Thanks!!) are excellent specially "Thanks!!" is simply superb. I like it too much. [ Reply to this ]
