The Song, the sigh and the silence

Came out of some kinda spin-a-yarn thing which is going on at another site

There is a song in whatever my soul can take in today in the whistling of the wind in the laughter of her voice in the flower children's eyes in the coffee-wala's bicycle bell in the buzz of the local train in the ringing of the phone

"..hey ! i might not be able to meet you this evening. you will be okay, na? please figure out something to do don't sit at home and sulk bye! i love you" i keep the receiver down a sigh

where is the song? its raining but all i can think of is the sullying of my jeans and the constant banter of the college students merely reminds me of how lonely its gonna be tonite am walking down to the chai "shop" will the phone ring again? will the song play again? as i look around there are all kind of faces some tired, some managing a smile some unfazed, some excited and i ask myself what makes you happy?

the mind machine rattles and hums

then silence

the heart is still and i smile once more to feel her within me to know that she is smiling somewhere to be a part of her joy to love with or without being with her to connect with or without holding hands aah ! i can hear something is it my soul breaking into a song

What stayed with you?

A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.
